Last Friday, the Executive MBA Program’s Open Day took place, gathering numerous candidates, current students, lecturers and special guests. The event took place at the Wrocław University of Economics, where participants had the opportunity to learn the details of the program and listen to an inspiring lecture as part of the cyclical FBC (Friday Business Club) meeting.
The meeting began with a welcome of everyone gathered by the Director of the EMBA Program, prof. Maja Kiba-Janiak, who introduced the invited guests, announced a panel discussion and a lecture.
People associated with the EMBA Program took part in the discussion panel:
• prof. Ewa Stańczyk – Vice-Rector for Research and Academic Staff at WUEB and member of the EMBA Council,
• prof. Marek Wąsowicz – EMBA Program Manager, responsible for the postgraduate study path,
• Ałła Witwicka-Dudek – Director of the WUEB Business Cooperation Center, responsible for the WINGS Program accompanying EMBA studies,
• Jan Jakub Cendrowski – Director of inQube WUEB – partner of the Let’s start-up the bridge between India, Czech and Poland Program,
• prof. Katarzyna Jagodzińska – responsible for the Swiss Gateway to International Business Program organized by the University of Neuchatel (Switzerland),
• Karol Szewczyk – graduate of the EMBA Program and President of the EMBA Program Alumni Association,
• Szymon Szawerna – graduate of the EMBA Program.
The invited guests shared their experiences related to the EMBA Program and how it helps in career development. During the question and answer session, open day participants had the opportunity to ask questions, which allowed them to obtain practical first-hand information.
Lecture by prof. Katarzyna Jagodzińska was one of the most important points of the meeting. Prof. Jagodzińska, as an expert in the field of negotiations, presented fascinating issues related to Nego-Analysis – the psychology of power dynamics in high impact negotiations.
At the end of the meeting, participants and guests had the opportunity to talk in smaller groups. A break for light refreshments was an excellent opportunity to establish new contacts and exchange experiences between candidates and current students.
The Executive MBA Open Day met with great interest and positive reception among the participants. The event provided valuable information about the program, enabled the establishment of valuable contacts and inspired candidates for further professional development.
